SHOES, SHOES AND BUNNY SLIPPERS

We made all these fun shoes out of duct tape and craft foam. It was very easy. See the little pink bunny slippers in the center?  Thanks to our beautiful model.

Topsy Turvy

Here are two cute tops Marian put together. the bottom one was made from a great piece of fabric she had. Isn't is great? It looks like kids from a classic Dick and Jane book or maybe from Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle.

We got two of these from one we got from the thrift store.

Pretty in Pink

This pink party dress was so easy to make. What little girl wouldn't want this for her special dolly? Saving the hems and ruffles from a girls party dress from a thrift store made this go together quick as can be.

Purple Posies

This was made from a little girls dress that had that pleated border already on it. We like to use all the shortcuts we can.

Irish Lassie

She is ready for Easter and St Patrick's day in this lovely mint confection made from a ladies top I bought for 99 cents at the thrift store. Made the leggings from a pair of kids holiday socks also 99 cents.

From Robes to Riches

Look at this great little terrycloth bathrobe. 

This brocade jacket with its little faux button made from gold beads is ready to a day on the town.

Shades of Pink

This is a cute little jacket and capri pants sets. I cant remember what she made this out of.

This is a great strawberry themed outfit. When I was a girl, I loved the book "Strawberry Girl" by Lois Lenski. I recommend it for your little girl.

This is a lovely little batik skirt. Marian made the fabric using fabric scraps from a quilt she made.

Here is a little nehru jacket made from the most gorgeous little size 2 party dress.

We'll play dress up with these outfits later.

Just Wasting time?

This is my sister Marian and I (Jessica) doing what we love, which is just about anything if we can do it together. What I reallly mean is everything is better when you are doing it with people you love. When we were young, my Mother used to say "Quit your dilly-dallying around and get in here" Thinking we were wasting time. Now if we want to waste time, we make doll clothes. Really, who am I kidding? Marian make beautiful doll clothes from thrift store treasures. And me? Well I hand- sew snaps, closures lace and appliques onto her little works of art.

Idecided to start posting them online so you could see what we have made (and give us some applause) and so we can show you what we are making things from. So you can be inspired also.
